A cutting rotor is driven by a hydraulic motor. The liquid manure flows into the rotor and is distributed to the hose outlets. The cutting edges glide over the cutting screen and fibrous materials are cut into pieces. During the operation there is a constant  pressure in the hose outlets. As a result, there is no clogging of the individual hose outlets and an excellent distribution is assured.

The distribution accuracy of the Dosimat is better than with any other mineral fertilser spreader. Independent product tests have reported a variation coefficient of under 5%. The DLG Institute has rated a variation coefficient of under 10% as "very good", thus making the Dosimat system "excellent".
