The new and easy way to irrigate with little effort

A mobile irrigation system increases your crop yield.

In these days of small profit margins and high fixed costs, boosting crop yield is becoming more and more important. For many agricultural operations, irrigation and watering is an important factor. Fixed stationary systems are available in a variety of configurations, however, these installations require substantial investment and changing is difficult to justify in small areas. It's difficult when irrigation is done only on an occasional basis or on selected areas when required.

Vogelsang has now developed a mobile irrigation system that fills this niche market perfectly. The new system is based on the technology of the proven dribble bar system by Vogelsang - a reliable and rugged piece of equipment. The distribution head is not needed when using irrigation dribble bars. A special head is used instead. A Vogelsang rotary lobe pump pressurises this system. At the same time the water is pumped into the tank and no additional water supply is needed.

The speed of the pump regulates the discharge rate. The water flows through the dribble hoses and onto the ground or is sprayed by jets. Using such water jets increases the yield. After planting the seedlings they are watered with this system that covers the ground more efficiently. For example, during a hot dry summer, lettuce yield can be increased up to 20% by using this system.

The dribble bars are mounted on to the front hydraulic system of the tractor. This set-up allows optimal viewing of the entire work implement. As an option it may also be mounted on the back of a tractor or onto the water tank. To transport the system on municipal streets, the dribble bars can be folded up from inside the tractor cabin. The discharge hoses can be adjusted and varied individually to match the crop row widths. In addition to irrigation, the system is also designed for tree nurseries, for delivering water or fertilizer. The vertical discharge distance from the seedlings can be adjusted, due to the attachement on the front hydraulic system of the tractor.
